Scott N. Brown is a partner of the firm. His primary practice areas include creditor's rights, bankruptcy litigation, commercial litigation and business reorganization. Mr. Brown's practice is concentrated in the representation of Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees. Prior to attending law school, he was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of C.M.I. Enterprises from 1987 to 1999. Under his financial leadership, the company grew from $5 million to over $35 million in gross revenues, and employed over 150 people.
Mr. Brown received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University in 1987. He received a Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, magna cum laude, in July, 2003.
Mr. Brown was admitted to practice in Florida in 2003. He is also admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He is a member of the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida, and is the Miami-Dade Chair of the Brown Bag Continuing Legal Education Committee. He is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute.
Mr. Brown joined the firm in 2003. He was born in Miami Beach, Florida in 1965.
